Thames path, Battersea to Westminster The aim is to start at Battersea, take a short trip around the powerstation development and cross the Thames via Chelsea bridge to the north bank. From there we follow the thames passing through Pimlico, Millbank and finally ending around Westminster. This should provide views across the river to the developments at nine elms and west of Westminster. |

Photography on the underground. A good rainy day outing, to keep dry and for some puddles for reflections. The route and ideas are open for discussion, I referenced these websites to try and find some different shots, hands up who does not have Ca nary Wharf and Westminster station? The underground is about the people and the architecture, sometimes the two mix extremely well. Tupemapper, linked below illustrates this perfectly. For inspiration: https://tubemapper.com/ https://street.oh-brother.co.uk/london-underground-photography/ https://www.mylondon.news/lifestyle/beautiful-london-underground-stations-officially-25151453 https://www.baldhiker.com/london-underground-a-photographic-perspective/ My proposed route, subject to discussion. 1) Start at London Waterloo 2) Take the Jubilee line to Southwark, the station has recently been listed. 3) Back on the Jubilee, taking it to Stratford. 4) Photograph people at Stratford and transfer to the Central line. 5) Central line to Gants hill (I do listen Barrie). 6) 1 stop to Newbury park, where we leave the station and photograph the bus shelter. 7) Take the central line back to holborn. If you want to leave early, you can change at Liverpool Street and head to London Bridge. 8) Change to the Picadilly line at Holborn and head to Arnos grove, another listed station. 9) One stop to Soughgate station. 10) Home, back to Kings Cross, then Northern line to London bridge? 11) if adventurous, Metropolitan line from Kings Cross to Baker Street, the original underground station. |

Little Venice to Paddington Basin Distance, about 1.7 miles. Paddington basin is a newish development, alongside the waterfront, a juncture of the regents canal, with a mix of old and new buildings. Little Venice has its charms, the variety of narrow boats along Maida avenue are worth seeing as is rembrandt gardens for a short stop. At the end you can take Bakerloo line from Warwick Avenue or Paddington back to Waterloo or greater choice from Paddington |
